Mr. Andrea Enzo Melotti will be joining our EFTI Advisory Board on July 1, 2021.

Andrea Enzo Melotti is Vice President of Operations – Hotels & Casinos, at Hard Rock International, and has been with the Company for over 16 years.  At Hard Rock, he is in charge of the brand execution for the franchised hotels and casinos (33 properties with several more in development), as well as the quality assurance program for the entire portfolio (franchised and managed). 

Andrea has been involved in luxury and lifestyle hotel operations for over 35 years. From the landmark five-star property to the trendsetting lifestyle boutique hotel, his experience and devotion to guest and team member’s engagement is an asset for Hard Rock. Born and raised in Italy, Andrea, son of a legendary Italian hotelier, started his career with a boutique hotel in Rome as a front desk clerk. In the 90’s, he worked his way up into management in celebrated hotels such as the Intercontinental in London, the Royal Monceau in Paris (now the Raffles Paris) and the Carlton in Cannes. 

In 2000, Andrea moved to Miami and was instrumental in the exponential development of the hospitality industry in South Beach. As a General Manager or Managing Director, he opened and operated the two Bentleys, the Sagamore and the Raleigh, the latest with famed hotelier Andre' Balazs. In January of 2005, Hard Rock International asked him to join the worldwide hotel and casino operations to evolve the division into a leading hospitality brand.

Today, Andrea collaborates closely with quality partners to supervise all aspects of the property’s operations, from product selection and brand concepts, to training and culture indoctrination, acting as the custodian of the brand throughout the portfolio. During his tenure, Hard Rock increased his hotel and casino portfolio from 7 to 36 properties, exceeded budgeted profits each year, except in 2020, increased global market penetration by over 30% above the fair market share threshold and won several prestigious prizes, including the highest guest satisfaction award by JD Power in both 2019 and 2020.

Some of Mr. Melotti’s achievements include:

  • Exceeding EBITDA goals for 15 straight years (2020 excluded)

  • Exceeding 130% RevPAR Index for the franchised properties portfolio

  • Securing the Highest Guest Satisfaction Award by JD Power in 2019 and 2020

  • Creating and developing MUSE (Manual for Universal Standards of Execution), the Hard Rock online portal

  • Creating and developing the BCE (Brand Compliance Evaluation) protocol, cornerstone of the company increased success and consistency worldwide

  • Creating and developing several award winning brand programs, such as “The Sound of Your Stay” and “Safe + Sound”, embraced by the entire company, credited for a share of the recent success of some of the Hard Rock properties during the pandemic
